Scrum Master, Product Owner and BA roles in Australia

Sydney and Melbourne are home to the head offices of Australia's four major banks, along with large insurers, telcos, retailers and consultancies, and Canberra adds federal government digital teams. Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide have growing delivery teams in resources, energy, health and the public sector.

Australian job titles differ from other markets. Scrum Master work is often advertised as Iteration Manager or Delivery Lead, and product roles as Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst. Search for all of them — the day-to-day work of running sprints, refining a backlog and managing stakeholders is the same.

Several large Australian organisations run scaled Agile operating models with tribes, squads or Agile Release Trains, so interviewers frequently ask how you coordinate dependencies across teams. The live-project mentorship gives you hands-on sprint examples, and the SAFe® certifications add the scaled vocabulary.

How the class times fit an Australian day

All batches are scheduled in India Standard Time (IST). Sydney and Melbourne are 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of India in winter (AEST) and 5 hours 30 minutes ahead during daylight saving (AEDT), which starts on the first Sunday in October — so the October cohorts already run on daylight-saving time. Brisbane is one hour behind Sydney in summer, Adelaide 30 minutes behind, and Perth 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of India all year.

The morning India mentorship batch is a lunchtime weekday class on the east coast and a mid-morning class in Perth, so most Australian learners choose it. The evening India batch runs after midnight in Sydney and Melbourne and late evening in Perth. Every mentorship class is recorded, and you can rejoin the next batch free.

SAFe® weekend workshops run 1:00–9:00 PM IST on Saturday and Sunday. That is an evening session running past midnight on the east coast (the table marks the next-day finish) and an afternoon-to-evening session in Perth. Check the table before you book, and message us if the timing does not work for you.

How live online classes work from Australia

You join each session live on video from anywhere in Australia while the trainer runs a real JIRA board. The project runs on your own laptop, you take turns as Scrum Master or Iteration Manager and Product Owner in simulated sprint events, and a small cohort of about 4–6 learners means your work gets reviewed every week.
